A monthly rope jam for self-tiers! Self-tying is often seen as something under the umbrella of rope but it truly exists within its own category, and this is a space for folks who recognize that. The format of the jam is based on the whims of the host that month, it could be a freeform jam, some type of game/challenge, or a skillshare.
Self-tiers of all skill levels are welcome. No partnered tying is allowed in this space to preserve the camaraderie of shenanigans and mutual learning. Self-tiers are expected to follow the spotter policy that's included with the ticket. The gist is that if someone is significantly immobilized or an upline is tied that they have a spotter. A spotter is capable of acting in an emergency and have pre-negotiated beforehand, but they do not need to actively hover. This is a policy borrowed from EXIST and we feel that it encourages connection-building, opportunities for cool photos we don't normally get ourselves, and we can get everyone out of the building quickly in case of emergency.

Prerequisites
Understanding of risk factors involved in self-tying, the willingness to find and have a spotter, and the ability to intentionally negotiate with that spotter.
Self-suspension is not an expectation, all forms of self-tying is valid.

Some rope will be available to borrow - please let the instructors know in advance if you need rope.
