We are located in the Logan Square/Bucktown neighborhood in Chicago, IL. The studio is located about 0.3 miles from the Western Blue Line CTA station.

CRC is located on the second floor of a mixed use building shared with other service providers (i.e. yoga, acupuncture, etc). There is a freight elevator that can be used for access between floors, if needed.

Please use the schedule link that was included in your membership confirmation email. This will bring you to a scheduling page where you can look see what times are available. Note: A studio orientation or sign-off is required before your first rental and can be done during Open Studio hours. Contact us to confirm an orientation time.

There are a lot of opportunities in Chicago for folks who are new to rope. If you are rope-curious and want a low stakes opportunity to witness rope in action, check out our monthly free Rope Social. Chicago has a wide range of folks who offer private rope lessons in various styles from beginner to advanced. If you are interested in private lessons, reach out to us on our contact page and we can help direct you.

If you are attending a class or an open studio, it is recommended to wear clothing that is comfortable, fitted, and easy to move in. Try to avoid clothing that will bulk or flow, unless you have already developed the skills to handle that. A lot of folks like athletic wear. You may wear underwear if preferred, but CRC has a no nudity policy.

You may bring drinks and snacks with you, however be mindful of mess and smell, as this is a shared space. We do not have a kitchen or refrigerator. The building has a shared sink and microwave.
Alcohol is not permitted within the studio.

Private studio rentals are currently limited to CRC members only. If you’d like to become a member, please refer to our membership page.
Studio rentals for organizers, educators, and larger groups do not require membership.

CRC is open when we have events or rentals scheduled. We do not have scheduled open hours for the public.

Please refer to the event and ticketing description, as it can vary based on the event type.
But typically, socials, parties, and open studios are ticketed individually per person but classes and intensives are ticketed as a pair.

All ticketing is handled online and cannot be purchased at the door. However, tickets may be purchased up to the time of the event, so if there are tickets available then you can still attend!

Yes, you must be 18 years or older to attend events at CRC.

CRC has created multiple ways to increase financial accessibility to our events and classes. We budget for free and discounted rentals to underrepresented groups to host events and we offer sliding scale ticketing for most events. We also hold at least one scholarship spot for most events and classes, reach out to us on our contact page to inquire about a scholarship ticket.

CRC is a volunteer run organization and does not operate for profit. The revenue is used to fund the rent, operational costs to run the studio, and to pay out individual educators and organizers utilizing the studio. Any income outside of that is reinvested into things like scholarships, mutual aid, discounts, and studio improvements.
