Roping for Groping: Objectification, Touch, and Desire

RSVP Here!

Touch is a language. In rope, touch is often the first and most powerful way we communicate intention, desire, and control. Before addressing how rope interacts with the body, we’ll examine how we use our bodies to interact.

This class centers on the deliberate use of erotic, invasive touch and objectification as expressive tools within rope play. This class will begin with exploring the dynamics of touch in a broader sense before progressively building towards more invasive, objectifying roping and groping.

Through structured exercises, participants will develop sensitivity to different qualities of touch, exploring different feelings from tentative to assertive, from connective to objectifying. We’ll incorporate body and rope handling techniques to enhance intensity and presence, offering practical ways to amplify the physical and psychological impact of groping.

As the class progresses, we’ll translate these embodied skills into rope, exploring how intention, tone, and touch carry through tying. Participants will leave with tools, techniques, and a deeper understanding of how to use their bodies and ropes to create more intentional, evocative scenes.

This class is beginner-friendly and no specific rope skills/harnesses are necessary, just a desire to explore touch with your partner. We built the class to be the lowest barrier to entry possible with information for rope enthusiasts of all levels to walk away with something.
