Join us for a rope jam centering transgender, non-binary, and gender expansive people! The aim for this group is to foster the trans community within the rope community. All experience levels are encouraged to join. If you would like to bring a non-trans partner, they are welcome. We do ask that the experience stays centered around the transgender community.
What to expect: a welcoming circle, talking about what you’re interested in for rope, skill sharing, tying, chatting, having fun, and a closing circle.
The Trans Rope Jam will occur on the third Thursday of the month from 7-9pm at Chicago Rope Collective, unless otherwise posted. Ring CRC on the buzzer to get in. If there is a hiccup in the system, call or message (312) 772-2237 or (773) 873-2635.

Instructor Bios
Nova (they/them) is a nonbinary top-leaning rope switch and self-tier who has been tying consistently since 2024. They enjoy the connection with their partner in rope, whether it’s unraveling a problem in a labbing session, gleefully cackling as they torture someone’s calves, or dancing through movement rope. When they don’t have rope in their hands, they enjoy photography, exploring cities and museums, and cuddling with their cats.
Honey (they/them) is a self suspender and rope switch who has been roping for a little shy of two years. As the person in rope, they are drawn to the physical challenge and emotional intimacy of being moved and held in rope. As the person tying, their curiosity leads them to constantly explore new patterns and experimental shapes. They bring insights in anatomy and body mechanics from their experience with bodywork, yoga, dance, and weightlifting.
